My heart is heavy as I watch the news and read the updates. Superstorm Sandy impact is top of mind today.  CNN’s ‘This Just In’ reported 100 deaths, 33 in the United States, one in Canada in addition to the earlier toll of 67. Much devastation.

Monday as I watched the preparation for the storm from Ahwatukee, Arizona in my quiet home office with the sun shining, temps in the 80’s…yet, I found myself looking outside to see if Sandy was getting closer. I found myself imagining the anticipation, the bracing for the storm and precaution that many in New Jersey, New York and many other coastal states were taking.

The faces of our family and friends in New Jersey and surrounding areas came to mind continually throughout the day…thankful for their safety.

My heart is heavy thinking of the many…which quickly turns to praying for the many people affected by Superstorm Sandy.

May HOPE prevail! May HOPE abound!
